Qn.Who is Alfa Tyms?
Ans. Alfa is a Moslem and a Muganda, a twin born in a family of four siblings and I am the last born, I was born to Abdala Ssebude and Hadija Abdala Ssebude, for my education I went to king Fahad Primary School, Bugembe Islamic Secondary school, and Kampala University
QN. What are you outside the Media?
Ans. I am an indoor person, I only move when I have an appointment, I am sometime doing research on current affairs, and so many other things, I love to keep myself up-to date, I am a family man so I spent sometime with my kids.
QN. If you were to describe your Media career as a means of transport, what would it be and why 1. Air, 2. Road, 3.Water
Ans. It must be Air, I have been going higher ever since I joined the Media, in numbers and credibility.
QN. What inspires you as a Media Person?
Ans. Passion for Media inspires me everyday.
QN. Are you comfortable with the Uganda Media industry?
Ans. Yes I am comfortable with because there are certain things we cannot change now, we have been recognised as essential workers, why can’t I be comfortable.
QN. Does the Uganda Media Industry suit your ambitions?
Ans. Partly it does, media does not pay that much according to what we do for the media companies, somehow we love the jobs we do more than the media houses owners.
QN. If you were to be given power to change this industry, what is that one things you would start with?
Ans. Recognition and respect of our media people.
QN. Apart from being a Muganda, which other tribe in Uganda would you choose to be, please do not say none.
Ans. I would choose to be a Musoga, Busoga is where I have grown up from and it has given me so many opportunities.
QN. Honeymoon in Jinja, where would you go?
I am not advertising for anyone here but we have good places in Jinja.
QN. You are made president of Uganda for one day, what would change immediately
Ans. I would want to see a very functional and reliable health system in Uganda, plus good infrastructure.
QN. Mention anything that makes you wish you were born a woman?
Ans. Sympathy, women gain a lot out of sympathy.
QN. What reason would ever make you wish to cheat on your partner
Ans. Denying me sex, I make a phone call asap.
QN. What advise have you ever received from a stranger?
Ans. Be God fearing all the time.
QN. What is the best advise you have ever offered to a friend?
Ans. I advise them to always work hard, and that there is no shortcut.
QN. If you were given a chance to help men, what two keys issues would you address first?
Ans. Help create job opportunities and empower them with skills
QN. What has ever made you feel inferior?
Ans. I went to a Bar one a bar one day and I was bounced, until now I despise Nile Casino Bar.
QN. What gives you confidence at your lowest point?
Ans. Self belief, I always see myself as a winner.
QN. What is happiness to you?
Ans. Being alive because I know I am going to achieve all I plan to.
QN. How much money would be enough for your dream?
Ans. No specific amount, sometimes it's according to what I have budgeted to do.
