QN: Who is Tramah UG?
ANS: Tramah UG is male Ugandan. I am a Born again Christian, a musician, a businessman and a leader. I am a proud Munyole from Budumba Sub-county, Butaleja District.
QN: what is your birth name?
ANS: Sam Wetale
QN: What got you into music?
ANS: Passion, ever since I was a kid, I always felt a musical fire within me plus, it is a well-paying job.
QN: Who inspired you to do music?
ANS: On a family level, my cousin Emma K, he used to come home with video tapes of him singing in church, it was so cool and I knew I had to do something like that.
Oliver Ngoma from Gabon inspired me on career level. I grew up listening to his music. However, my biggest inspiration was my dad.
QN: How would you describe the music you make?
Passionate, it is music from the heart with a personal touch and that is why when you listen to my music, you’ll get attached. It is affectionate and professional.
QN: Are you married? and if yes, to whom?
ANS: NO, I am not yet married, never have been. I am seeing someone though.
QN: Have you performing before?
ANS: Yes, I have performed severally.
My most memorable performances have been At the Bebe Cool Coccidiosis album launch, The Daniel Aranda Live Concert, Top T.V. Youth Explosion, Bunyole Cultural Gala at National Theatre and the Reggae Xprience at Miracle Centre Church organized by Tramah UG Music.
QN: What has been your favorite song to perform?
ANS: Mama Love by Tramah UG and the reggae version of Intentional by Travis Greene.
QN: Which famous musicians do admire?
ANS: The Late Oliver Ngoma and the Late Mowzey Radio. I am currently developing anew love for Chris Martin.
QN: What do you do when you are not doing music?ANS: I manage a football club called Seeta Miracle Football Club, I also deal in finished furniture.
QN: What is the best advice you have ever received and from who?
ANS: ‘Life is not going to be easy. So, just be you, love you and support you’ from my Dad (RIP).
QN: If you were to change anything about the current music industry in Uganda, what would it be?
ANS: The content mostly. I would make the music more professional, and advocate for actual record labels. I also wish for a more organised music industry with organised promotors.
QN: Who writes your music?
ANS: I write my own music mostly from life experiences. I compose, write and do a bit of production on all my songs.
QN: What is your favourite song?
ANS: My all-time favorite song is Ikole by Oliver Ngoma
QN: Tell us about your journey.
ANS: it has been a journey of hustle. My family at first hated the whole idea of music, so, not much support came from them. I worked mostly with friends. I have mostly been self-motivated.
I have over the time got a lovely fan base that believes in me which is inspiring.
I have performed on some major big shows which has also been such a blessing.
When I did Mama Bunyole, I was so happy that the song was well received and it has had such a big positive impact on the young Bunyole generation as most of them can now openly come out and identify as Banyole.

We have a lot in store, we are planning to organise our first concert as Tramah UG Music as soon as the president allows us to hold concerts.
