Amidst a global pandemic crisis, a group of local Ugandan kids are putting smiles on so many people world wide with viral dancing videos. But while many are sharing the latest video of the Masaka Kids Africana dancing to Drake’s Toosie Slides, who are they and what is their story?
I decided to make research about these amazing humans, its lockdown I have to stay home so I had to depend on my phone and PC, I visited their official official certified Facebook page. I also took time to google about them and the results are just astonishing.
The Masaka Kids Africana are a group of children who are using Uganda-African dance styles to entertainment people, and through this, they are raising awareness about the plight of an African child, they are raising funds to help children who are going through tough conditions of poverty.
The group comprises of children who have lost a parent or both parents, they are orphans giving hope to others.
But was the Drake Tootsie slide dance video their first? Masaka kids have done a number of viral videos, they have some of the most viewed YouTube videos from Uganda, some of their YouTube videos range up to 23 Million views. They have done dance videos on a number of Eddy Kenzo’s songs, one the latest being “Serebu” which is now over 10 Million views on YouTube.
