Business
It's 4am I am in a YY coach heading for Kampala, 10 am got me in Seeta receiving hugs form the loves of my life. 2pm I am in Kampala at one of my best spots (Cafe Bravo) at Kampala's one of the most famous and old building - Uganda house.
I meet a team member of MySpot Magazine we have a moment of laughter, my favorite milk shake and some lunch, we discuss the magazine business and got to some major conclusions. While we both have other programs, that did not stop the Kampala rain otherwise we still have to go and execute other commitments elsewhere.>
My colleague signs out, I too get the boldness to face the rain, I head to moonlight plaza to meet my nephew and senior graphics designer, that side things did not go so well because I surprised myself, he had left office early, I am standing regretting why sometimes I never communicate with people.
In my mind I know there is nowhere else I can go but to go back to the place where I have spent a few shillings on drinks and lunch. I step back to Cafe Bravo, the cute smiles if the waitresses welcome me back, this time I am sure nobody is going to bring me a menu, so I go straight back to my sit.
The place is already occupied with a lady who is too serious on her lunch, she can't say hi, but that does not bother me, I take my sit on the other side of the table, after a few minutes, my table-mate gets done with lunch and leaves immediately after clearing her bill.
It's Hon Mukasa Mbide, he is moving with some good looking young man, he seems to be looking for a place to sit, finally our eyes meet, but I almost want to ask him to come to my table, some things are just meant to be, Hon ends up at my table.
I am a little nervous which is unusual with me, I never get nervous meeting new people no matter how big and important, I only get nervous when I meet my crush. As for Hon Mukasa I am sure I was scared how I would start a conversation with a man who speaks English that even Queen Elizabeth will need to find the oldest Oxford Dictionary.
Anyway as you know politicians, he asks first; what do you do? Of course that was after greeting, and yah if there is anything I do best is giving my profile, in a few seconds he already knows about me and possibly convinced that he was seated with the right young man.
Through our short conversation I realised he was trying to find some simple words to use while talking to me and his young friend or maybe a nephew. BTW I felt insulted, I am a graduate sebbo Mr Honorable, more over from one of Uganda's most expensive University, I graduated with an Honors Degree from Uganda Christian University.
My busy weekend ended well now that I had a chance to get in touch with one of the best Parliamentarian and rquest for an interview for MySpot Magazine profiles.
